Mozilla Philippines visited Bacolod City to meet and greet with the local Mozilla Community. Attended by nearly 100 participants from La Consolacion College Bacolod Senior High Students, BS IT and BS EMC College students, student from different schools, LCC Alumni, web developers and other professionals.
Ā Spearheaded by Mozilla PH Representative Robert “Bob” Reyes, (not the running priest š ), he discussed the updates on the new Mozilla technologies such as Firefox Quantum, Lock, Monitor and some new product of Mozilla. He also introduced theĀ WebVR, the new Rust Programming Language, Mozilla Volunteer Program and theĀ Mozilla Internship Program.
Mozilla Volunteer, Amiel Pastor also discussed the localisation project of Mozilla which is currently in 95% completion.Ā
Mozilla Regional Coordinator Lenny Betita also discussed Web Development Tools of the Firefox browser that can be helpful in the development of the students and web developers.Ā
Multiple LCCian students and professionals showed interest in joining the Mozilla PH volunteers to continue to share the Mozilla Advocacy of Open Web Standards, Data Privacy, Safe Internet Experience and Open Source Participation.
